From an early age, Marilyne Baril has always been a seamstress «Because one of my friend was fond of sewing, I wanted to do the same.» With time, this discovery had become a passion. She studied at Cégep Marie-Victorin in fashion design, specializing in fur, then followed a program at UQAM, Fashion Design Management where she get graduated in 2010. Throughout her studies, she stands out for her creativity, her determination and her perseverance, allowing her to win several bursaries and Awards from the Montreal fashion Foundation, The Canadian Council of fur, etc… Working in the Montreal fashion area for five years, Marilyne Baril launched her eponymous line of women’s coats in 2013. In 2014, she introduced her second line, Marigold, women dresses designed for younger customers.
