ERDAINE and its knitting

Born from a passion for fashion and natural fibers, Erdaine has the voluntee to offer women high quality knits, chic and comfortable to wear. In ongoing research on trends, colors and textures, the stylist Jenny takes inspiration as well from modern art as from urban life, highlighting flowing lines and geometric patterns. Transforming ideas into sketches and selected sewing thread and knitting techniques, she creates unique models of seamless sweaters.

The collection has asserted a strong personality over the years, combining elegancy, discreet details and smooth. All models are carefully knitted in the production unit based in British Columbia.

Usually a sweater is traditionally made with a “front”, a “back” and sleeves assembled sets, with Ruelle, they are proud to develop seamless products made in one piece thanks to the knitting technology more advanced. The thread quality is decisive for the duration of a knit, they work with renowned Italian mills. The extra-fine merino wool they use offers a singular sweetness in addition to be non-irritant. They manufacture according orders and have great flexibility regarding production & delivery with a prompt services. Socially responsible and environmentally conscious, Erdaine uses only sewing thread from renewable resources.

MARYLINE BARIL : The Multi Touch

From an early age, Marilyne Baril has always been a seamstress «Because one of my friend was fond of sewing, I wanted to do the same.» With time, this discovery had become a passion. She studied at Cégep Marie-Victorin in fashion design, specializing in fur, then followed a program at UQAM, Fashion Design Management where she get graduated in 2010. Throughout her studies, she stands out for her creativity, her determination and her perseverance, allowing her to win several bursaries and Awards from the Montreal fashion Foundation, The Canadian Council of fur, etc… Working in the Montreal fashion area for five years, Marilyne Baril launched her eponymous line of women’s coats in 2013. In 2014, she introduced her second line, Marigold, women dresses designed for younger customers.

DINH BÀ : The elegance at any age

Nguyen Dinh Bá was born in Saigon, Vietnam, in 1975. Once arrived in Montreal, he rapidly developed his drawing talent together with his taste for arts. This is with his mother, seamstress by profession, he follows this passion that led him to make fashion design studies at LaSalle College.

During those years of study that he stand out in particular in Paris at the International Competition for Young Fashion Designers where he represented Canada. He also found three times finalist of the Young Fashion Designer Competition of Excellence and accumulates success. This experience from reputable and talented people allows him to meet Lino Catalano and work in Mackage early in his career, what motivates him to make him known in the major Quebec fashion.

In 2004, he created his own label, intended to modern woman, an active woman who wants to assert itself. His collections are essentially defined by a unique vision of women, combining fluidity of lines and ingenious cuts. Fully thoughts and manufactured in Quebec, his creations are characterized by a combination of stretch fabrics, comfortable and easy to maintain.

Dinh Bá recovering wardrobe from life, with new pieces and new colors … Indeed, his roots, his origins, his daily trips make his range inspired through different sources that extend from Vietnam and Asia to North America. Whether made of simple or flamboyant colors, selected fabrics have always a touch of the exotic.

Ten years later, Dinh Bá Design has over twenty collections to his credit and dresses as well women as men. With over eighty points of sale in Canada and through its shop situated in Montreal, he has direct contact with its clients.

Destined to broadcast through the North American and pan-European level, its quality collections is always a high success, always distinguishing itself and a little more with each new season.

ANNIE 50 : The Modern Retro

Amélie Gingras-Rioux and Annie Chagnon founded Annie 50 on the February 14, 2005; a clothing line specializing in ready-to-wear for women and with the aim to enhance the femininity. Over the years, the company has managed to pull out of the game with its unique style to carve out a place in the Quebec fashion industry.

The designers draw their inspiration from the references of the major trends that marked the times, while bringing a modern touch. Recalling the vintage references while soaking in fashion trends, clothes stand out for their originality and timelessness.

Moreover, the creative aim is to highlight the best features of the modern woman with the clothes they create, while offering a wide selection of materials, colors and prints. Often close to the body and comfortable, the clothe is designed to suit the lifestyle of active women, while meeting the desire of coquetry.

Therefore, even if the line offers a complete collection from season to season, it differentiates with her dresses, and allows to recognize the success of the line.

As the result of their studies, the two designers met each other during their classes at the shop “Aime Com Moi”. Annie studied fashion design at the College Marie-Victorin, she works as an assistant designer, while Amelie, while pursuing her studies in fashion marketing at UQAM, works as a store manager.

They discovered common interests with many affinities and bind readily friendship. They started to share the same dream, which is to start their own clothing line. Thus, in addition to their complementary path for the realization of such a project, their personalities turns out to be equally complicit to this new challenge.

Annie 50 rely on an ethical production, all clothes are designed and manufactured in Quebec. The company would be part of a sustainable philosophy maintaining a level of quality that best represents the Quebec manufacturing. The carefully selected fabrics usually come from Asian factories, but some selected materials are woven in Montreal and especially made for Annie 50, then, contribute to a local economy. To date, the line is now distributed in more than 60 outlets over the Canada and plans to expand in the United States where a shop already distributes the line.
